On our trip to Australia in 2010 we were very happy to be invited to stay for one week in Gold Coast, Queensland. A good opportunity to go and see other things than endless beaches and clear pacific water. One of them was the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, situated just a few miles north from the Coolangatta Airport. It’s a huge area with lots of native and typical flora and fauna and it’s good to plan at least one full day if you also want to see one of the fantastic birds or crocodile shows there.

A perfect place for nature lovers and photographers, though both will need a lot of Mosquito repellent if they want to survive the day, especially during the rain period! ;)
